Safety Shoes :
A mandatory safety requirement for workmen entering the site.

SAFETY HELMET :
A mandatory safety requirement for every individual workman working at the site. Executives, engineers, and other office personnel visiting the work site are also required to wear helmets.

SAFETY BELT :
A mandatory safety requirement for workmen working at a height of 10’ (10 feet) and above.

WELDING SHIELD :
When ARC welders are working at the site, the safety shield is mandatory.

HAND GLOVES :
Must for :- a) Gas welders.
- b) ARC welders (suitable for high-voltage protection).
- c) Workmen involved in heavy tool handling, i.e., threading machines, pipe cutting machines, etc.

PROTECTION UNDER WORK AREA :
Provision of demarcation tape and signage at each work area to avoid accidents and create awareness.

TEMPORARY / LOOSE WIRING CONNECTION :
Temporary or improper connections are not permitted at the site. All wiring must be properly grounded, and double-insulated wires shall be used with plug and socket connections of the required capacity.

FIRE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS :
The right type of portable fire extinguishers will be placed at the work spot prior to commencement of the following types of jobs:
- a.) Welding.
- b.) Gas cutting.
- c.) Grinding.
- d.) Energising electrically driven motors.
- e.) Test run of diesel engines.

SCAFFOLDING :
Modular scaffolding with telescopic M.S. pipes and removable platforms, with casters for easy and swift movement.

WORKER’S HEALTH POLICY :
- A. Periodic medical check-ups every 6 months for all labourers and employees.
- B. Insurance policy benefits applicable to all labourers.

- a. Employees State Insurance Scheme, Provident Fund Scheme, etc.
- b. Medical reimbursement benefits applicable to all employees.

- Safety Requirements
- Wear safety helmets, safety shoes, and eye protection with side shields.
- Wear safety harnesses and hook them to the lifeline rope.
- Wear appropriate hand gloves such as cotton, leather, PVC, rubber, or surgical gloves.
- Proper tools will be used, checked for defects, and replaced when required.
- Housekeeping will be done on daily basis and the debris, sand, concrete, materials and mortar will be removed and stored at identiied place.
- We will be appointing one safety supervisor to visit this site at least once a week and monitor the safety standards.
- Our workmen and we will not create any problem, quarreling with other agencies.
- We will be providing ire extinguishers, ire buckets with water and sand in work place, if welding machines are used.
- First-aid and hospital facilities will be provided to workmen.
- We will be conducting the safety training programs for our workmen, like irst aid, ireighting and safety.
- We will obtain work permits to work for hazardous area.
- We will submit all the required insurance policies as per contract documents.
- All electrical wires and cables must be laid and fixed well above ground level.
- All electrical point connections must have proper plug points. (No inserting plain wire into electrical boards).
- All electrical connections should be taken through a main electrical board and connected through proper circuit breakers, ELCB, and proper earthing to be done to all electrical equipments.
- Workers should not take risks whilst working, such as hanging outside the building or on scaffoldings.
- All shaft, external works and work at heights to be carried out with using safety belts which are properly anchored and safety helmets, safety shoes and safety hand gloves.
- Always use the grinder machine wearing cloth hand gloves and safety glasses.
- Always use the epoxy, chemical compounds and cement wearing rubber hand gloves.
- No pipes, pulleys, fittings, etc. to be kept temporarily hanging on site. All suspended piping or fittings should be securely fastened and not kept hanging or insecure.
- All incomplete works should be properly anchored or fixed or bolted so as to prevent any slippage/fall/collapse.
- Molten lead must not be poured into wet joints. Always use cloth hand gloves while pouring lead.
- All pump and delivery line nuts and bolts must be checked before starting the pump.
- All the welding works must be done using welding helmets, safety gloves and safety equipment's.
- All pumps, welding machines, panels etc. must be properly earthed before starting.
- All pumps and panels must be properly maggerred before starting.
- All workers must be careful while using hacksaws, chisels, hammers, pick axe and other sharp tools.
- No combustible materials should be stacked or dumped in and around the company site stores or labour hutments.
- No worker must fool around whilst working. Strict action will be taken if any worker is found not adhering to these safety rules.
- Internal safety audit should be carried out each month by the site staff where inspection of all tools, electrical equipment's, gas cutting set (tube/nozzle/valves), etc. must be thoroughly checked. All defective parts or materials must be replaced immediately and the faulty part returned to the head office.
- All staff and workers must be disciplined, well dressed, well-mannered and not argumentative or aggressive.
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, drugs is strictly banned at site. Any staff or worker reporting intoxicated at site will be immediately dismissed.
- All/Any accident however minor must be immediately reported to the management and the Head Office.
- Proper permission and written approval must be taken prior to working at heights, night works, or hot works.
- The site store room, labour hutments and all areas should be kept clean and free from hindrances. No combustible materials, scrap, debris should be left at site. Housekeeping should be carried out on a weekly basis.
- All excavated trenches, manholes, open drains must be properly barricaded using safety tapes, signs etc.
- Use of mobiles, iPods, radios and other electronic entertainment devices is strictly banned whilst working on site.
- No visitors, relatives, friends etc., are allowed within the site premises or inside labour rooms.
- The Company I.D. cards issued have to be kept safely and duly. returned upon expiry or when leaving the service. Loss of I.D. card has to be reported to Head Office immediately.
- It is duty of all staff and workers to safeguard the Company materials, tools, scrap, etc.
All safety-related precautions and proper implementation will be monitored under the supervision of the Project Manager.

EHS Declaration for Plumbing Work :
We hereby declare our responsibility to carry out the work safely.
We understand the hazards associated with site activities and will develop relevant safety procedures, train manpower, and provide the required PPE and equipment.
We and the workers under our control will strictly adhere to site safety rules and EHS guidelines as stated in this document.
The following safety practices will be followed in addition to any other requirements recommended by the Project Manager’s EHS Manager / Site Safety Officer to ensure safe working conditions at the site.
